Can you claim against the car insurance policy of someone who is died in an accident they caused (UK)?

This is just hypothetical, i was just wondering.

Say you were involved in a car accicent and your car was damaged and you were injured. The party at fault was killed in the accident. Can you claim against their policy for your car to be fixed and for compensation for your injury?

Would you feel bad about it if it happened to you? Do you think you would claim? I think I would, but I would have mixed feelings about it. I'd be sad they died and feel maybe I was being unfeeling. But at the same time, if it wasn't my fault I would certainly want my car fixed, dunno if i would claim for personal inury, depends how bad i was hurt i suppose.

Yes I have personally experienced this we used JR Claims they were ace fast turn around as well.
