Child labor laws? How does it apply to a 16 year old?

I'm hoping to get a job this summer. I don't really hangout with friends, so I want to work as much as possible, because I really need the money. Parents won't co-sign me for a loan on a car, so I have to pay every penny when I buy it. Along with college funds. :/ so how many hours can a 16 year old work a week?

It depends on the state you live in but where I live, I had to get a workers permit to get a job, and I wasn't legally allow to work past 7 pm during the school year.
The amount of hours you can work a week probably depends on the state you live in. You can ask your school councilor.
