Did the 20 firearms laws that the Columbine shooters violate stop them?

The shooters at Columbine violated 20 firearms laws that were in place during their rampage... the kids had 50 round high capacity magazines despite the laws against them at the time...

Obviously the Bans didn't stop them from getting the guns, so why are people caterwauling about banning "assault weapons" and high capacity magazines, when they know that the Criminals will get them anyway. Is it just so people FEEL like they are doing something to alleviate the problem when in reality they are making the problem even worse.

It's about emotional,, knee-jerk reactions. No one stops to think beneath the surface.

After my car accident I was calling for a ban on women drivers. true, it was an emotional reaction to having staples in my head and a broken arm, but I still think my law would make the world a safer place than banning guns

bloomburger should keep his nose in his own business. NYC is one of the most dangerous places on earth because people are not able to legally aquire or carry a firearm for self defense

Obviously not,but maybe those laws stopped some other person or group from similar actions. Obviously laws don't stop any crimes that are committed. Does that mean we should not have any laws? Your argument is poor.

Damn straight. When will Libs wake up and realize that all good law-abiding high-schoolers should be allowed to bring their assault rifles to school? A well-armed student body would have easily stopped those shooters.
