Disobeyed traffic control device?

Postby sonny » Wed Jul 18, 2012 8:01 am

I got one in upstate NY for doing 48 in a 30. It was originally a speeding ticket which the officer states I could receive 6 pts on my liscence but reduced it to the traffic control device which he states I would only receive 1 point. After the description of the ticket which said the disobeyed traffic control device it said 48/30. What does this mean? How much does the ticket usually run? And the title of the car is in my name and the insurance in my moms. What will it do to the insurance? This ticket was issued out of the city I live in and I'm thinking of pleadig guilty to the ticket

If the ticket was changed to the "Disobeyed traffic control device" citation, pay the fine and don't fight it.
A cop can rescind the citation to the original charge if you attempt to fight it in court by pleading not guilty.
