I had my son by c-section four years ago. I have been having recurring pain since then, as well as secondary infertility with no explanation. This past December I saw a new GYN and while conducting my pelvic exam, he told me my surgeon had sewed my uterus to my abdominal wall! This has caused my cervix to be displaced and is probably to blame for my pelvic pain and infertility. Do I have a medical malpractice claim on my hands? I have had to see several doctors, none of whom until the GYN were able to offer an explanation for my issues. Could I be reimbursed for the medical costs, as well as the mental distress of the infertility? My husband and I have been trying to conceive our second child for three years, with no luck and no reason why two healthy 20somethings are not able to conceive again.
