Do I need a medical malpractice lawyer?

Postby danil70 » Sun Feb 26, 2012 6:37 am

It seems like the doctor's being in a hurry might have left a sponge or something in you, You are showing all the signs, Yes, something is going on here and I think they left something in you, it won't be the first time this has happen. You need a second opinion. You need to DEMAND that these doctors go back in and look for anything that might have been hidden and forgotten, a person's body will act just like yours is when a sponge, band, stich, anything is left in your pelvic. I really think that is whats going on. Go to another doctor if they won't go back in. This is serious. My best friend had the same thing happen to her. Infections, fevers and so on went on with her, after she cried and pleaded with the doctors they finaly went back in, they found a tiny piece of gauze, she sued and won 1.2 million dollars, they settled out of court.

Infection is a known risk from any surgery including a c-section. It's not uncommon that they missed it at first since many women are in pain for awhile, we all have different thresholds.

You would have to show your docs were actually negligent and that doesn't sound like the case here. Sepsis is horrible and PICC lines are no fun but you'll make a full recovery.
