Do texts and Facebook messages hold up in court?

Postby achimelech51 » Mon Apr 11, 2011 7:38 pm

Last week, my neighbor had a party. Someone got way too drunk and threw a bottle against my car sunroof. The kid admitted to me he did it and I have texts that say he did it and would pay for it. He doesn't want to pay now because he found out it'd be too much money.
My main question is: will those texts be enough evidence in small claims court to make him liable?

Ya probably. If you can proove that's his account, which shouldnt be to hard. I watch judge Judy alot, and sometimes the people will have texts and emails printed out and that usually helps.
