How to get text messages off cell phone for evidence in court?

Postby erwin » Thu May 31, 2012 6:48 am

I am taking someone to small claims court that deceived me, lied and did not follow through on a written agreement made via text messages. I also have email documentation which I have printed out but I am unsure of how to appropriately get the text messages off so that they are admissible in court. I have a Nokia E5 through Rogers. Thanks

I had the same dilemma with a friend that borrowed money each month. This time asked for $500 and wont pay it back. I finally decided to pay the $12.00 for the license (key) to allow the app to print the text messages. Don’t know if they make the same app (or similar) for your phone but check your app store for "PrintShare" (one word). It worked beautifully. Turns anything in your Smartphone into a PDF document and prints it to a wireless printer.

Probably too late given the date of your post but thought it might also help someone else out.

Good Luck....

If you have an iPhone you can take screenshots of the messages. They are stored in your photos. If not, I'm not sure but carrier sounds like a good idea.
