Does Obama pretend to care about the unemployed and yet:

His appointees to the National Labor Board are litigating against the creation of jobs in right to work states.

His EPA appointees are inflicting new regulations on portions of energy sector, using unprecedented power to destroy coal industry and harass any domestic oil businesses.

He is blocking any viable plan to develop a pipeline to move oil from tar sands in Canada to refineries in USA to deliver genuine value to the American economy.

He passed a polarizingly partisan healthcare that imposes a $2000 penalty on every single job in USA unless it includes expensive federally-controlled healthcare that now must provide free contraception and free abortificent drugs. A law which when it goes in effect will cause every employer and every employee to suddenly pay increased costs for healthcare of anyone who cannot afford it.

None of what you said is true. And your lies about obama's coal policy are laughable. You have also lied about the idea that there is any "federally controlled healthcare". That was dropped in the third week of negotiation. PAY ATTENTION.

It does not seem to me that he cares about unemployment. the libs argue that the economy is getting better. Not where I live. I think maybe in highly unionized cities they are seeing growth. Obama needs those votes!

You mean since Reagan was President. He had an unemployment rate above 10% for 10 straight months. Sept. 1982 to June 1983

Not a coincidence, not with the GOP so determined to block jobs bills that would make Obama look good.

If it weren't for fracking technology, we would also have Carter-style gas lines.

Of course not.
Regress two data sets:
> Number of Congressional/White House Republicans by year since 1948 (BLS unemployment data goes back to 1948)
> Unemployment by year over the same period.
The coefficient of correlation = -0.215158046609067, indicating SIGNIFICANT covariance such that with "more Republicans" there tends to be "lower unemployment."
You can get the party numbers from countless sources and the BLS data from the BLS site, of course. If you have your data in a columns you can copy/paste (or you don't mind keying it in) you can use this tool http://www.wessa.net/corr.wasp to find the correlation.
"Significant" correlation has an absolute value of at least 0.1
