Does a tail bone injury fall in the category of spinal cord injury?

Postby hampton83 » Wed May 02, 2012 1:18 pm

I am just wondering cause i am seriously thinking of applying for a medical marijuana card for my tail bone problem and on the application form there is a chart which your doctor checks off what you have and the only one that's close is spinal cord injury. Tail bone is at the end of your spinal cord so i was wondering if this is the one he'd check off. Thanks

Yes, a tail bone injury would be considered a spinal cord one. So you can check the box that says ''spinal cord injury.'

Medical marijuana could possibly alleviate pain and aid in the healing process. According to an open label clinical study done in Europe, THC was effective in reducing spasticity (spasms) in many patients with spinal cord injuries.
