If I was a student at a University in Australia and I've yet to graduate,

#1. would that be a discouragement for them to approve my visa?

#2. If approved, would they allow me to finish my degree and reenter the US without abandonment issues?

You mean, if you 'win the DV lottery'? This is purely theoretical?

If you want to become a permanent resident of the U.S. as a DV lottery winner, you actually need to set up domicile in the U.S.

Yes, purely theoretical however, I Know that i have to setup residence in the US however, if I'm actually half way through my university course am I able to apply for reentry?
