Courts of law have jurisdiction more than all matters cognizable at law in the Brittish courts, e.g. torts, contracts, and criminal matters. Courts of chancery have jurisdiction more than all matters cognizable in equity, e.g. probate, guardianship, family members matters, and suits praying for equitable relief(distinct efficiency, reformation, and so on.).My appologies for just guessing, rather than searching it up in Black's.
