Florida law to back up me up bc I want to terminate my lease, I dont feel safe.?

I have lived at a rental home for 2 years now. My truck was broken into a little while back, and lastnight my home was broken into (items stolen). I dont feel comfortable going back, or even living there. Is there a Florida law that backs me up if I want to terminate my lease? I have an 8 year old niece that is living with me...

Not in the slightest. This is a police matter ahving nothing at all in common with your lease.

There is no law on your side here. Landlords are NOT responsible for crime in the area so you cannot break a lease over that. You certainly have every right to leave but you will have to pay what ever lease break fees are stated in your lease.

Why don't you do like the rest of us and buy an alarm system, install some good security lights, put locks on your gate, locks on your windows, etc. What would you do if you owned this home????

No, there is not. LL cannot regulate street crime.

No there is not. The only grounds for terminating lease early are written in your lease. Read it.
