Obama has a plan to confiscate all firearms so that no one will be able to oppose him. This is part of his plan if he is reelected in 2012. Why are so many so-called progressives in America so gullible? A gun roundup is just the beginning.

Haven't you learned a lesson from my country. In 1997, guns were banned in the UK; since then, we have had no way to fight back against an increasingly totalitarian and socialist society. Losing our freedom to defend ourselves has been a major problem. Criminals love it because they know that we, the law-abiding, are now unarmed. I am not allowed to own a pistol or a revolver, even though I am a law-abiding taxpayer.

Americans, do not fall for this. Tell Obama that his gun grabbing is unacceptable. Vote for Mitt Romney a man who, unlike Obama, is a friend of your Second Amendment.

Erm, guns aren't banned in the UK. This can only mean one of two things. Either you are not from the UK and are therefore unfamiliar with the gun laws, or you are from the UK, but are an idiot who wouldn't be allowed a gun in the UK.

After the Dunblane massacre we banned guns to stop loonatics from killing innocent children and civilians. You see all the time in America schools being attacked by crazed gunmen, President's being shot, congressmen and women being murdered for simply holding a belief. You can walk into Wal*Mart there and purchase a 9mm and walk out the doors and open fire. Making laws stricter on who can own guns has made our United Kingdom so much safer than the United States. Guns aren't completely banned, we are just choosy about who we want to own guns for the sake of the people of this country. I wouldn't thank you to live in America, i am safer where i am right now.

First, you can still buy .22 revolvers. A great many people in the UK still believe handguns are banned though, and with the licensing requirements, they might as well be. So don't feel bad lol.

@ the anti-gunners: Yes, fewer people are killed by guns in the UK. Ignoring the fact that that's a mathematical inevitability since their population is about 1/5 of ours, keep in mind that their violent crime rate is almost twice ours, and the amount of stabbings and bludgeonings more than make up for the lack of gun deaths.

Violent crime went up by 70% from 1997(the year most handguns were banned) to 1998, and has steadily increased since then. And it has not helped gun crime either, as reported by the magazine "Independent".



Guns are one of the most important things people can own. A Pistol is the only thing that puts a single woman with a broken leg on an even footing with anything from a violently abusive partner to half a dozen home invaders.
