Help! Payroll checks bouncing in TN?

Postby deangelo51 » Mon Nov 21, 2011 7:01 pm

I live in TN, and recently got burned by a loser employer. Wrote me 2 bad paychecks nobody will cash & laid me off.

The accountant said he'd meet me the day after separation to compensate me with a cashiers check. Now no one will answer their phones.

It's been two days of talking to people's voice mail. I've stated I wish to take care of the issue thru them without having to involve the Labor board, but it looks like I have to. Where do I go from here? Anyone familiar with TN laws on this thing? They have bounced one paycheck before in my checking account, but quickly compensated me. Since then I have been cashing them, up until these last two. Help!

If there are other "ex-employees" that you know of who are going through the same thing as you, then I would get together with them and contact the news. Your employer will be totally embarassed and what's best is that the news reporter will do all the work of researching the laws for you. Good luck!
