How do I know God exists or not?

im 14 years old (girl) and there IS a God. I am not a deeply religious person, far from it actually. my mom drags me to church. but i still believe in God. There is definitely a God, and you can know this by looking outside. the fresh air. the mysteries of life. the natural wonders of the world. the love of your family. birth. EVERYTHING. but i dont think God judges people based on if they went to church or what religion they are. In my opinion God judges people based on their actions and how they live their life. you sound like a very good person, i would hate to see you leave God because times have been confusing for you. this is going against the catholic church saying this, but i think God even loves atheists who live their lives well. if your an atheist who lives your life like an ***, thinking of no one but yourself, you will be treated no differently than a catholic who lives their life like an ***, thinking of no one but him/herself.

The fact is there is no proof. This goes both ways. There is no proof that he exists. There is no proof that he does not exist. You don't have to believe anything. Just live life. Don't worry about things that you will never know the answer to.

First of all, "God" is not written.
You should think based on accurate translation.
The wtitten is "Elohim".
They live on a planet.

Ok, first off a little known fact; 80% of Christians are fakes. They do it because they were raised to, want the title of 'Christian', or feel forced. Its hard to see people like that, and that does turn a lot of people off from our religion.
Second, you said you are 'perfect'. I think that's part of why you are having trouble. God wants to save you because you are a sinner. Not as bad as a murderer or drug addict, but sin is sin.
Third, before Jesus, God had to cleanse people of sins, and those ways weren't always the prettiest. But sinless is better than sinful.
Fourth, I think if you were perfect and wanted what was best for your children on earth, and they deliberately disobeyed you, you'd get pretty pissed off too. He flooded the whole earth because that generation of people would continue to create sinners.

You can't. That's the whole thing about it; why religions all require faith in lieu of evidence and why atheists want evidence in lieu of faith. The only question is which side of the coin you decide to fall on. Will you continue following and promoting something you have no evidence for because you believe it does great good, or will you choose to follow what can be shown to be real, seeing all that is hurtful about religion, and try to do good anyway? Then again, this is a strange coin; it has three sides. If you don't like either option, you can step out of the equation and just refuse to take an opinion; there is no shame in living in uncertainty. So maybe you don't believe what you preach; people have lied for much, much less worthy causes. Just as long as you make sure your sermons do not promote harm, you are free to choose your path without guilt.

For all the good works you can do in the world, when you stand before a perfect God your good works will still not be enough to get into heaven. For we all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. There has only been one guiltless man to walk among us and his name is Jesus. There is a penalty for sin and that is death, Jesus came to pay that debt by dieing on the cross and resurrecting on the third day. He give this gift to us freely without strings all you have to do is accept that Jesus is all that he says he is and repent. You may know all this already. Knowing in your mind is not the same as knowing and believing in your heart. It takes seeing yourself as a sinner.

I was much like you. I grew up in church, got baptized, sang int he choir went on mission trips, and was "good" It wasn't until I was 20 years old that God finally got a hold of my heart and I saw myself as the sinner that I am.

I'll say that there is no scientfic proof that God exists, but I most certainly believe in him. In my opinion, nothing cannot emerge from nothing,so there has to have been something beyond our comprehension that has created us. That is just my belief. For an average Christian (I am not one by the way, I support gay marriage despite my religious views), believing that God is there is just a matter of faith. You say that there is a voice in the back of your head that tells you that God is real, which you think is just your mind....and that may be true, but contemplate this:

Although it sounds crazy, I have seen things before they happen. Do you know what warned me/ told me of the once impending events? The voice in the back of my head.

Whatever you decide that you believe in, I hope that it floats your boat. I am also disgusted by the behavior of the common Christians. It is hard to think that I once went to chruch with that type of people.

Hey mate.

I grew up in a christian home and by the time I was in highschool I started asking questions that conflicted to christian belief. Who really created mankind? We didn't apear out of a mound of dirt, right? How is hell possible if many older scriptures say nothing other than the heavens and the earth? If god is love, why would he create us with the ability to hate?

I found answers after almost a decade of readong and learning from various religions.
Look for a book called 'The 12th Planet' by Zecharia Sichen.

No one here can make you believe them straight up if they say god doesn't exist, or he does. Its entirely up to what you want to believe.

The 12th Planet is a book containing information on the creation of man, where we came from (truly) and the origins of human kind. It also contains many passages of the bible and explains in details the meanings and historical events tied to them. After reading it, you will discover God is more than you think and our existance is more complex yet simpler to understand than you imagined. The info in this book is from the greatest minds of our time. A man that spent about 50 years studying Sumerian writings and the oldest known scriptures of mankind.

If you want to truly feel that god exists, read this book. You won't be dissapointed.

IF you have seen the things that you have said you have seen, then, you should believe in the works. Does god exist? I have found out quite a long time ago, that question is meaningless. God is not something that exists, rather, god is existence itself. You might as well ask, "what is the meaning of meaning?" Is there some magical logical proof that somehow proves god's existence? No, but that is because god is existence. You, as a part of existence, exist. You as something that exists are one with existence, like a finger is one with a hand. Really though, at the age of 16 you should be living life and making mistakes, you will learn from those mistakes and they will become a part of your life that you will be unwilling to take back because of the lessons you learn from them.
