How do you calculate the weekly amount Workers Compensation pays for Temporary Disability payments?

Postby chay » Thu Mar 31, 2011 4:39 pm

In California, should the amount paid to my Union from the employer ( ie: Vacation pay $2.47 hr. + Health & Welfare @ $5.14 hr. etc.) be added to the hourly wage of $22.81?
I know the T.D. compensation is 2/3 of the average weekly pay, but should those benefits be added to the hourly wage?

I've never collected disability through a union, just from the state. The 2/3 of the weekly pay is your benefit, that's it, and in NJ there is a maximum to the benefit available regardless of your weekly pay.

In your case contact whoever is going to pay you, state or union.
