How do you request a different judge in family law?

About a month ago I. Finally had the courage to get out of a 10 yr very abusive relationship. The abuse was very severe on many different levels, in fact went above and beyond actual hitting physically, as well as emotional and mentally. Anyway I petitioned Family Court for a domestic violence protection order, was instantly granted the temp. One and set a hearing for the permanent order to be determined. the permanent order was granted and at the end of the hearing my ex requested that I take a UA only because a friend of his told him that I got high with him and a friend a few days before the hearing. Which was true, but keep in mind that I have cancer and that I had not done drugs of any type since the age of 20 yrs old and am now 40. But even at age 20 It was merely experimenting. I have never liked drugs or alcohol and have stayed away from them. And he is a full blown alcoholic of many years with a lengthy domestic violence and criminal record and I don't even have a speeding ticket on my record. So anyways of course the UA was not going to come back in my favor, and that's why he so smugly requested it. But the commissioner in fact signed the permanent domestic violence protection order. That day and there were no more court dates scheduled it was a done deal. Well 4 hrs after court he had violated the order already and was arrested. I told the courts that he was the type to get worse when u seek help instead of backing off. So now he was really mad, and petitioned the courts for an emergency hearing to get awarded two full days on the property w/o police supervision to empty out the garage/shop of his work equipment and tools. He ended up destroying property and taking everything he wasn't supposed to on the 1st day he was allowed w/o police and I in fact had to call the police. Well during the hearing where he was allowed on property is when they had noticed my UA results. The commissioner was mad and made it very clear that the results weren't adm

How do you request a different judge in family law?

generally the only reason to have a judge disqualified is if he or she has a conflict of interest, such as being related to one of the litigants. if you fee the judge has been unfair your only recourse is to appeal to a higher court.
