How does a 16 year old girl and her 18 year old boyfriend date and manage to get around the texas dating law ?

My dad has never met him and refuses to but says he doesn't want me to even talk to him and my mom is saying the same thing to avoid my dad if he decides to take this to court. I am willing to fight for this relationship but i am not ready to loose my family or my boyfriend what do i do?
