How to locate a tenant who abandoned property during Eviction process, in Texas?

Had a horrible tenant that absolutely destroyed our rental home. We started the eviction process, but they moved out literally over night prior to the court date. Any advice on how to find the tenants and get reimbursed for the damages they did to the house? The damages FAR exceed the security deposit.

Or a better question is…is it worth the time and money? FYI over 10K worth of damages…

get your money in any legal way.
do not worry about suing again = no money.

u do get to take it as a loss in taxes.

You can certainly file some charges against them....even for damage to your property. This will follow them wherever they go as it will be on their credit rating, too.
