should be split 3 ways paying off the mortgage between us.. But i recently aquired the deeds and they say my mum put 30000 down on house. And i put the remaining 30000 down using a mortgage. It also states on the deeds if the mortgage is paid then 30000 is my mums and the balance is mine.
Also it states that my mums 30000 stays that because its excempt from interest.
my brothers are already giving me grief about this and the usual threating they wont talk again but this was the written in the deeds and was mine and mums agreement. Even still i feel **** lol.
But im seeing solicitor about it.
From what i can gather though im in the right but if they dispute how long can these things drag on for ?

I don't have an answer for you.
But i can sympathize.

It sucks when someone in the family passes away. That's when you find out what species of vulture your related to.

You have to admire certain people that have to "benefit" from death. Your brothers are just being a bunch of dinks, it will drag out as long as they see fit to try and take what they feel is theirs. Don't feel bad for what your mother and you agreed upon.

Legally I am unsure what will happen maybe end up sharing 3 ways your moms half and you still kepp your half no reason you should have to give up part of your hal cause your mom died! But morally you should get the house 100%.
