I live across the street from a drug dealer, how do I get it Stopped?

Postby elkan80 » Mon Apr 02, 2012 3:17 pm

My husband moved us, myself, my mother, and my mother in law up to Richmond, KY from Florida last year to attend EKU. We bought a house in a nice quiet middle class neighborhood at the end of a dead end street. Shortly after moving in we noticed that for such a little street (less than ten houses) there is a lot of traffic, night and day. In talking to the awesome neighbors next door we were informed that the house across the street was a drug house! We were told that most of the neighborhood has called the Richmond Police Department to inform them about the situation, only to be told that there was nothing they could do without evidence. Since then we have had 1 of our cars totaled from a midnight hit and run, another vandalized, and my husbands new truck hit last night, IN OUR DRIVEWAY! We have complained to the police, written letters to the state, and tried to call when the traffic would back up down the street. All to no avail. My husband is a disabled veteran, he may not still be in his peak, but he's ready to pull a Rambo on the druggie. I'm at my wits end. I'm scared that he's going to end up in jail instead of the drug dealer. Any valid suggestions?

I would march down to the police station and ask them to investigate. If they refuse, then get all of your neighbors and go down there together or make a petition.

Why do you hate small business? He's just doing what he can to stimulate the economy. You must be an america hating liberal.

if the cops wont do anything then they are on the take. i suggest mind your own business and find a way to move out of there. maybe sit on your lawn with a high powered rifle and when cars/people get to close give them a warning shot.

why don't you and your neighbors record the traffic in your neighborhood going to the drug dealers house. then you have evidence that you can turn over to the police. you could also try to contact the DEA.

If the local police can't do anything, contact the sheriff's office or even the state police. Very funny, Porkchop. I got a hunch you are a dealer as well.

Burn down theif house lol. But that's bull crap that the cops can't do anything, if they wanted to shut it down they could with undercover cops posing as customers for the druggies. But you never know the cops in your town might be paid off.

The police cannot bust the house because it is known to be a drug house. They must have evidence that drugs are being sold there. That requires undercover police actually buying drugs from someone in the house, or actually catching someone leaving the place with drugs. As for the vehicles, police can only attempt to identify the vehicles that caused the problem. Set up a surveillance camera, or take down license numbers of suspicious cars.
