I See That Houston, Tx Has A Very Low Cost Of Living But Yet Good Paying Jobs. Are There Any Other Cities Like This?

The Houston thing surprized me. Now I'm just curious about other cities that have low cost of living/housing/etc. compared to the rest of the country. Doesn't have to be a large city. Let me know if you have any personal experience with your recommended city/cities. Any hidden gems?

State College, PA The cost of lving is low here and even lower if you live in the surrounding countryside. There are many high-tech jobs and the area is growing rapidly. Help wanted signs are everywhere. The presence of Penn State brings many cultural and sports attractions here too. I love it!
