If honest Americans don't need laws to lead a decent life and criminals don't obey laws - why have laws at all?

For all those people in the middle. And for young adults and kids. kids are horrible now not like back then. Laws are the only thing keeping them contained

To keep people in line, or at least they implemented for this reason. Lets be honest here it sure does beat living in total anarchy.

Person who doesn't obey law is a criminal, if you have no law I could just rape or rob you and there would be no police to help, so no one would help you, no one would care about you. If we wouldn't have law, then there would be no criminals, because raping, killing, stealing wouldn't be agaonst law, and no one would stop these people.

Laws exist to criminalize an action. If there were no laws, we could not prosecute someone for an action that we've deemed inappropriate. For example, if there were no laws that criminalize stealing, then those who stole could not be prosecuted. We create laws to set boundaries on the things that as a society we accept or do not accept in order to coexist.

To lock them up.Unfortunately we do not do that concerning the real criminals that destroy Thou sends of life's.We bail them out and the first thing the do is to grant themselves a little extra for a job well done.No one ends up in prison.We are a strange Society.According to us we are the best in everything.How ignorant can you get.

Most citizens will not drive the wrong way on a one way street. Its only common sense. But without a law against it, there is nothing to stop or deter someone from doing it. There will always be those that still will, but hopefully in smaller numbers, once there is a law against it.
