If you saw someone beating up another person, would you stop the attacker?

Since i have never been in that type of situation before therefore i cannot say anything rite now but i can tell you what i feel i would do if faced with this same situation. Since i am a woman, its another thing to stop a fight between two man and so if i do see one, i will do whatever is needed to see that no one gets really hurt ie. maybe call another person to separate them or something like tat. But if its an extreme fight, one that have weapons, then i will first analyse the situation to see that i don't get hurt trying to be the peacemaker, then maybe call for help but i will never just walk away even if it concerns starngers. but domestic fight is another thing altogether.

It really depends on the situation. If it were just me and I thought I could break it up then I would step in. However if I had my children with my I wouldn't put them in danger. I would definitely call the police or try to get someone else to help though. It would make me want to stop it more if it was a family member then if it were a stranger but I would try to help a stranger as well!

i tried that once and got beaten up myself, but if i do see someone getting beaten up i call the cops straight away....

If I see someone being beaten up or attacked by another person,I would never go to stop the one who is using violence. I think the only thing I would do is call the police and inform the place I witness the incident but I am not going to wait for help to come. Nowadays,people are getting violent,I don't think it's wise act if we go to stop a person from beating up another person. It's always better for us to protect ourselves from danger than bother about others' business. I am not being selfish,but the society has trained us and make us aware about this kind of matter.

Not sure about this question to be honest, knowing what I used to be like I would not have hesitated to jump in and help someone that was being attacked. These days though I err to caution more, given that people carry weapons and are not scared to use them so I am not sure how I would react now. Hopefully I will never have to find out.

hello friend If I saw someone beating up another person the first thing I would like to know about the reason behind it after that I will decide to call police to somthing else and offcourse It wouldn't be different if the concerned person is my family member..

What would you do if you saw someone being attacked or beaten up by another person? Would you step in and try to stop them from being hurt? Would you call the police and then wait for help to arrive? Would it make a difference if the person being attacked or beaten up was a family member versus a stranger?

absolutely, i will step in to stop the attack, it is illegal and also immoral to beat others, in order to maintain a stable and secure society, everyone has this obligation to do so, but when the situation is too difficulty for you to handle, calling for police is a wise choice,

i really dont like if ma family memeber or some person gets beating frm stanger... if i see such thing happening i'll call the police then go near them to find wat has actually happened so tat if i can save that person from getting beatings for sure i'll help him...bocause god has not created this life to get beatings from others ...

Wow, that is a good one. It would depend on who was being attacked. If someone was attacking one of my kids or family members, I may jump in and stop the attack. I am not a very brave person, but I would call the police and someone else for help if I saw another person that I did not know being attacked. If I thought I would not be hurt in the process of stopping the attack, I would try. I would help a stranger, but I probably would not put myself at risk in the process. I know that sounds cowardice but I am scared of being hurt.

I would call 911 then step in, I have done this before and would do it again in a heart beat. I would never ever be able to live with myself if someone died and I just stood there doing nothing. It would not make a difference to me if it was a family member or a total stranger. If I were being beaten I would want someone to help me if I was unable to fend off that attack.
