Information on New York Marriage Laws?

Information on NEW YORK ONLY!!!!!
Following information needed (sources appreciated but not completely necessary):
What constitutes as a family?
Statistics on marriage, divorce and cohabitation.
What is needed in the process of getting married? (Blood test, waiting period...?)
Legal aspects (age requirement, relationship, etc.)
what classifies as a marriage? (man/woman or something else)
Do civil unions exist?
Can gay couples get married?
Any adoption laws. Who can adopt?

I realize that's a lot of information but appreciate any and all help. Whoever gives the most (legitimate) information gets the ten points.
