Injury at work can i or should i sue? i need some legal advice.?

Postby lazaro94 » Fri Mar 02, 2012 3:01 am

so about 3 weeks ago i felt like i got injured at work, i felt a pain on my groin like a hernia, at first i thought the pain was going to go away, it lasted for a week and that's when i reported it and got sent to the company's doctor. the doctor though told me i didn't have a hernia. it has been about 2 weeks since i went, i still feel the pain and see a slight bulge on my growing. i am 90% i have a hernia i am going to go to see a doctor to see if it is. If it turns out to be a hernia can i sue the doctor that checked me and told me it wasn't for negligence or malpractice? or can i still sue? since it happened 3 weeks ago and i'm going to get it checked soon?

If you are covered under Workman's Compensation, you can't sue. If you are unable to work due to a work related injury, WC will cover your lost wages. However, an independent 2nd opinion may go a long way in proving your case for compensation if you are unable to work.
