Is everyone in the United States a criminal?

Postby gustav » Sat May 12, 2012 3:48 pm

Everybody is guilty of something.

In the page after page after page of the hundreds of thousands of pages of laws, rules, mandates, edicts, codes and regulations, rest assured, in there somewhere, is at least one you are breaking.

Eventually it was discovered
That God
Did not want us to be all the same

This was
Bad news
For the government of the world
As it seemed contrary
To the doctrine of
Portion controlled servings.

Mankind must be made more
Uniformly if
The future
Was going to work

Various ways were sought
To bind us altogether
But, alas
Sameness was unenforceable

It was about this time
That someone
Came up with the idea of
TOTAL CRIMINALIZATION.

Based on the principle that
If we are all crooks
We could at least be uniform
To some degrees in the eyes of
The law

Shrewdly our legislators
Calculated
That most people were
Too lazy to perform a
REAL CRIME
So new laws were
Manufactured
Making it possible for
Anyone to violate them
Any time of the day or night,
And
Once we had all broken
Some kind of law
We all in the same
Big happy club
Right up there with the
President,
The most exalted industrialists,
And the clerical big shots
Of all your favorite religions.

Total criminalization
Was the greatest idea of its
Time and was vastly popular
Except with those people
Who didn't want to be crooks
Or outlaws.

So, of course, they had to be
TRICKED INTO IT...
Which is one of the reasons
Why
Music
Was eventually made
ILLEGAL.

I agree with you. This is why the US law enforcement agencies are developing a technology that will enable them to arrest people while they're thinking to commit a crime.

We have all broken a law at some point (Stealing candy as a kid, walking across the street without a crosswalk, riding a bike without a helmet, speeding in a car even just a little once withoput being noticed, forgetting to turn headlights on a night)
Just depends how you define criminal.
Wait... that's not conditional. One who commits a crime

Yes. We are all criminals, and probably hypocrites too. Especially those who think they have never broken a law.

Technically you are correct.

This video does an interesting job of showing it "Illegal everything" He claims he can follow anyone for a day and point out a few felonies.

Is everyone in the United States a criminal? No!
Is everyone in the United States a law breaker? Yes!

A criminal has to be charged and found guilty of a crime.
All it takes to be law breaker is to be ignorant of the law.
if you don't know you need to be 15 feet from a hydrant
then when the cops come around, expect a lovely ticket.
