Is this the real reason why white gun owners keep guns in their houses, though they don't admit it?

Most gun owning by all races and nationalities is tied to ego in some way. Most because they are cowards and enjoy the power they feel by having one. The same reason most cops become cops. I've heard many people in here talk about how they have no fear anymore, and yet those same people talk about the guns they own to protect themselves. Do you find that as contradictory as I do? All the windows in my home are open from spring until autumn through the dry season, whether I'm home or not, or asleep or not. I own 2 rifles only because they are keepsakes. I nether murder animals nor people. not even in self defense. I don't even have ammunition for them. Is life so Precious that it is worth taking someone elses?
