Laws against lanlords putting tenants in danger? (aggressive animal danger)?

Postby teyrnon72 » Thu Mar 29, 2012 9:17 pm

So here's the deal: I'm 18 and live with my mom and younger sister on this sort of "farm" set up and we agreed to take care of the Landlord's horses and dogs. Well, the landlord had this rooster and let it out of its cage and it is VERY aggressive. I cannot go outside without a rake or something and even then it still comes at me. It cornered ME yesterday and scratched my jeans all up. I'll come out the front door and start my morning jog and the thing will chase me off my own (theoretically) property. I've even whacked it a good one a couple times, but no sense gets through to the darn thing. Help me out here? It's a tough situation seeing how the landlord could evict us if she wanted, but at the same time I think it is wrong for her to have a dangerous animal as an obstacle. Laws, solutions, help?
