May I Prosecute A Dangerous Embassy?

Postby Keenan » Wed Jun 18, 2014 3:46 pm

I requested a Visitor credit to some nation in South America. The credit procedure required quite a long time. And so I withdrew my software after four weeks and required they deliver me back my passport. This has been per week because the evening they guaranteed to deliver me the passport, but I'm however to get it. I'm unsure when they may have dropped my passport. I've voiced about the telephone numerous occasions, however they explained that it'll be shipped to-day blah blah blah.
On which reasons may I prosecute them? Is it feasible at-all, or are they protected by diplomatic protection? Appears like I'll be dropping my holiday. I live in Texas.
Thanks.

Can I Sue A Foreign Embassy?

Postby Kuruk » Mon Jun 23, 2014 6:38 am

Keep in mind that a foreign embassy, although on one nation's soil, is treated as sovereign territory of the foreign nation. Between that and diplomatic immunity, you probably can't sue them.
