Michigan Law: Failure to yield plus an accident?

This is my first time getting into an accident, and I have a month left of probation for a house party charge. I was at cvs, then I was pulling out right and this guy had his blinker on and i was sure he was turning into cvs.. but i was wrong. I pulled out he hit my drivers side door. I got a ticket for failure to yield for traffic, the guy that hit me had a warrant out and he got arrested. Will this affect my probation? The ticket doesnt say how much it will cost, what do they usually cost?

This incident will not be applied to your probation. Because, They are entirely different issues.

Also, Indirectly you did the police a favor, by running into/blocking a wanted criminal. So your ticket is an indirect 'gold star'.

The ticket would have a date for you to appear in traffic court so go there and get it straightened out.
