My boyfriend was served a no trespass order for the property where I live?

Postby gilleabart » Thu Jun 07, 2012 12:48 pm

He used to work on the property, and he got fired because management is covering their behinds with a whole scenario involving his supervisor. He's never had a single complaint about him, and has always done his work. Now they've served him a no trespass order for the property. Do they have a right to say he can't come in my apartment? Can they legally evict me if he's found here, even if I still have 5 months left on my lease? Any information is helpful... he's going to talk to a lawyer but I wanted to ask anyway.

Yes, they can bar him from the property. Yes, they can evict you if you violate your lease, which includes bringing in guests not allowed. Without reading your lease, I can't say if him being banned prevents YOU from anything. It certainly means that he will go to jail if caught trespassing.

Meet somewhere else, problem solved.
