My mom doesn't like my girlfriend. Mom thinks she is a gold-digger or something of that nature. I beg to differ. Her family may not be as rich as mine, but she is very different. I never see her as a gold-digger. We are both in our mid 20s. She goes to school to be a doctor, she is very smart. She never asks me for money. She is not into big designer labels. She even helps me save money, this girl is unbelievable.
I'm happy with her, but seeing my mom insults her hurts me the most. I told my mom not to disrespect her, but ma won't stop.
I'm afraid that one day she is going to leave me for someone else. She told me before that she wishes that her future mother in law is like her aunt who passed away, she was very loving to all of her children and her sons - daughters in law.
She told me that one of her sisters are also in the same situation, where the mother and father in law doesn't like her, and told me not to call them "ma and pa". My girlfriend told me that she can't keep being stressed out like her sister.
What a man to do?

If she really likes you she won't leave you b/c of your mom.
Just keep them away from each other. Tell your mom if she can't respect your girlfriend than you're not gonna be in her life anymore. You love her and you're happy so your mom can just shut up and stay out it.
She's just jealous. It'll be ok, just keep them away from each other!

The Bible had this figured out a few thousand years ago...

A husband will cleave to his wife...which means sometimes you CANNOT juggle both relationships and the wife HAS to get your 100% loyalty and preference.

Remind your mom that you are an adult, and her participation in your future life is at your discretion based on the peace and happiness she brings to your life.
