My sister bought a house with another agent after working with my mom for 4 years...?

Postby stephon14 » Thu Aug 02, 2012 9:48 pm

My sister and her husband have been working with my mom--looking at houses all over the state--to get their credit right to buy a house. My mom had them in over 5 contracts that fell through because their credit wasn't okay.

So two days ago, my sister calls and says "will you be mad if we bought a house with someone else"

And my mom says yes, because she's been working so hard with them...

Well, today, my brother-in-law told me they just closed on the house yesterday. And used another agent than my mom.

This is going to break her heart and I'm so upset about it...I don't understand how they could have done this to her after she's spend THOUSANDS of her own money, time, and gas trying to help them. And they didn't even TELL her until they'd already closed on the place!

What do you think about this situation? Am I wrong to be upset with my sister? It's to the point where I don't even want to talk to her right now, because I know how bad this is going to hurt my mom.

People do stupd things, more so when they are making major purchases. Hopefully your Mom can just chalk it up to that and move on. Maybe they felt she was holding them back from the other deals going through ( I know you said it was their credit, but maybe that think otherwise?).

unless your mom was charging them some exorbitant fee or didn;t have the ability to get them into a house then that is wrong. If your mom didn't have the skill set that the other agent had to get the job done ( was their credit still just a s bad?) then they were right to go with someone who could get the job done.

Wow that sucks, I don't even see why your sister would need to lie. Your mom is just going to have to chalk this up and move on to other clients, your sister can be the first ex-client of 'whom not to help.'
