Not sure if i should join the air national guard?

well im 17 and ill be a senior this year. im not sure if i wanna go full time or not but i think i wanna join because of the benefits such as signing bonus's, helps with college, retirement, and also it has a great law firm which i wanna go into. theres just one problem which is the fact that i smoke marijuana. im not addicted to it and im even on a 1 month break right now so i can figure this out. i would pass a recruitment test but im a regular smoker. i couldnt see myself going into senior year and especially going into college and not smoking unless it was affecting my grades, in which i would slow down and dedicate more time to school. ever since ive started smoking ive gotten many friends, have gotten really popular, and im pretty much out every night with friends rather then staying home by myself, and this is gonna sound really stupid but in this era you really can't have that much fun as a kid without smoking . i personally think its stupid but thats how it is. im not doing anything stupid which would get myself into trouble im just enjoying weed. i think i can quit but with all of the cuts and having to live a military life im not sure if its even worth it anymore even if i didnt smoke weed. i think ill sadly end up quiting smoking for the guard but its such a disapointment. the last question i have is if i swear in this summer and start basic next summer would i at least be able to enjoy my senior year since there is no longer student flight? i thought about joining next year but then it would take almost a year for processing and there's not gonna be as many job opportunities. i know it sounds really bad making a life choice based on weather or not i wanna smoke but what if i didnt join? i would still go to college and try for a law or history degree and i would be able to pass drug tests in pretty much any career other then military. i do want to either not smoke or very rarely smoke when im older (mid to late 20's) but i feel like right now smoking is great because i have a better social life, and it pushes me to try harder in school but the only thing pushing me against it is the air national guard.

If you can't give up pot now...and permanently...the military is not for you. Go a different route.

Additionally your past usage, if found out, would be a permanent disqualification.
