NY Junior License Speeding Ticket. What will probably happen?

Alright. So I'm in New York.

Basically I was late for school this one day. I wasn't even really planning on speeding, but this white car caused me to get caught behind two red lights when I could've made it through the yellow. I got frustrated so once it turned green I just gunned my car forward and went in front of them. Right as I was in front of them and about to slow down this cop was in this spot behind a bush. I never saw a cop there before. Well, I mean basically he pulled me over and gave me a speeding ticket for that.

7o in a 55 MPH zone.

I plead not guilty and I'm gonna go to court, and just sort of explain what happened to the police officer in hopes he'll drop the ticket to something less serious because I cannot afford insurance if it sky rockets with a ticket like that.

I dunno, in your experience what do you think will happen? Can they suspend my license cause of that? Are cops usually understanding or will he give me hell? And, if he doesn't lower the ticket should I still plead not guilty and make it into a court case?
