Driving To Texas!

Postby Rigby » Thu Jan 09, 2014 1:08 am

I went from San Angelo to Miami. I stopped overnight somewhere in Alabama. The complete trip should take about 24 hours if you stick to the speed limit(which I did), so you can either divide it up into two twelve hours days or three eight hour days. You need to undoubtedly cease at least as soon as. If you're tag-group driving with someone else, you may well be tempted to drive straight on via. Do not do it. Spend a evening someplace along the way and be safe about it.I'd recommend stopping in New Orleans rather of Alabama. The city has pretty considerably recovered from the hurricane a couple of years ago. It has possibly changed some but there have to be some touristy issues to do there. If not, then Mobile Alabama would be the location to stop. Not my favourite town, I have to say, but at least it's a large city so you can discover a decent hotel/motel and plenty of places to consume.Have exciting!!

Driving To Texas!

Postby melville » Sat Jan 18, 2014 6:01 pm

I have in no way driven it, so I can not answer. Nonetheless, I would try to get to Texas just before I stopped for the evening. Someplace ahead of Houston ought to do it. But that is a long initial day depending on how long it requires to get out of Florida. Go to Microsoft Earth or Google maps and get a estimation for the trip.

Gary, now that you mention it I realize I must have made two stops because I vividly remember spending the night in Beaumont. Maybe it was just a bad motel, but Beaumont is not someplace I'd like to spend the night again.
