Call now for your risk-free trial!

^Sound familiar?

What they are saying is they are not going to charge you just to have the right to return the product in 30 days. Big whoop. The types of products sold that use "risk free trial" would never be bought online or over the phone if a free return policy wasn't offered in the first place.

Would you spend $60 on a jar of wrinkle cream if it was "all sales final"?

Does anyone notice this meaningless bit of flash when you see ads for products you absolutely do not need?

And when are we as a society going to stop advertising that sounds like it is deliberately trying to outwit the consumer into buying? Maybe when we stop trying to satisfy ourselves emotionally with material (read: non-human) things?

Like the far East said: happiness is not wanting anything.

I like to dream, yes, yes
Right between the sound machine
On a cloud of sound I drift in the night
Any place it goes is right
Goes far, flies near
To the stars away from here

Well, you don't know what
We can find
Why don't you come with me little girl
On a magic carpet ride

Well, you don't know what
We can see
Why don't you tell your dreams to me
Fantasy will set you free

[Chorus]
Close your eyes now
Look inside now
Let the sound
Take you away
