Permeable to the Constitution of the United States?

Postby lorimar » Tue Dec 13, 2011 12:22 am

I'm not going to do your homework for you, but I will point out that the preamble was written by a small committee, the Committee of Style, which was charged with taking the already approved provisions of the new Constitution and organizing them into a document that looked clean and pretty. It was approved with little debate or discussion by the Constitutional Convention. I don't think any of them really thought it would be much more than the kind of inspirational rhetoric that the Declaration of Independence is. But it was ratified along with the rest of the document and granted the same power as everything else in the Constitution.

You are looking at all the answers! If you don't understand something, dictionary.com . The only one of those questions that is the least bit ambiguous is #2, and I think you could figure out the right answer.

Hmm, what does "We the People of the United States..." mean? If you speak English you should be able to figure it out.
