Your totaled a car for speeding in the rain and you are worried about your driving rights? Driving is not a right. It is a privilege. You need driver training for you acted reckless and totally irresponsibly. You could have killed someone or even yourself doing this. Are you not more concerned about your lack of driving skills and safety awareness? You can even hardly write correctly. Just how old are you? I suggest you consider your priorities, my young friend. By the way, it is impossible to hydroplane at such low speeds. More than likely the tires lost friction due to the wet conditions or water accumulation or the state of wear of the tires or any combination of those facts. Now you know why the posted speed limit is for day and dry condtions if that was not explained to you now I have. Stopping distance increase dramatically when the road is wet since kinetic energy changes to the SQUARE OF THE SPEED. The formula is 1/2 M or weight of the car times V or speed squared. I take 1800 lbs X 35 X35 = 2.205,000 Joules. If you had driven at 30 MPH that value would have been 1,620,000 Joules or 585,000 Joules LESS. That is quite a difference. And that is what caused such massive damage that destroyed the car. You need driving lessons and training. I do hope your license gets suspended for at least a year.
