Massachusetts Rep. Barney Frank, the ranking member of the House Financial Services Committee, will not seek reelection in 2012, his office has confirmed. Frank is a 16-term Democrat who last year helped pass the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act.

No, I would say rather than his record is a very good case against term limits for Congress. He's done a great job.

It presents a strong case against term limits. 16 times, every two years, voters in his district had the chance to vote him out of office. Instead they kept returning him to Washington. They must have liked the job he was doing. He is retiring now because he is 71 years old.
