Sociology or psychology for a career in law enforcement?

This coming fall I'm attending UC Santa Cruz and looking to major in a degree that will take me to the law enforcement field. I've heard that either of these two degrees are very good (Since Criminal Justice isn't offered there).

Would one be particularly better than the other?

Psychology or Criminal Psychology would be even better. Either of those will help you understand the way that a criminal thinks.

I would major in business and minor in one of those two. You'll have a lot more options once you graduate if you decide to change your mind. It will also help you move up the ladder as a law enforcement official.
