One of the most crucial steps when starting a business is creating a business checking account. Not only is it important for financial and tax reasons to separate your personal account from your business account, but it adds legitimacy to your business. Having a business account makes your business more professional and impressive to clients. This is also key to getting small business loans. Source: http://www.greenbank.com/home

Outline of a business plan: 1. What will you sell? 2. How much will it cost to make product? 3. What price can you sell for? If it's not greater than production costs plus direct sales commissions, forget it. 4. How much profit would you make per unit? 5. How many sales could you get per month? Consider potential customers, sales channels, and competition. 6. How much profit would you make per month? If it's not enough to cover your fixed costs(rents, salaries, insurance, licenses, taxes) then rethink it. Either the price has to be higher, or sales have to be higher, or costs have to be lower.

Ask yourself these basic questions - WHO, WHAT, WHY, WHEN, HOW and WHERE....answering those should help you set goals and come up with a pretty solid business plan
