oh gosh this question gives me a headache. All men you listed are idiots through and through. Scientists DON'T KNOW EVERYTHING. that is why they hypothesize based on evidence observed, do experiments over and over and over, and the theory with the closest possible results is the one generally accepted by the public and all intelligent people. They don't claim to know everything and are still the ones labelled ignorant. you know what? macro evolution is a theory. Gravity is a theory. Germ theory is a theory.

Did humans evolve? yes. Does gravity work? yes. Do germs exist? yes. But they are all theories, so why should they work? because theory does not mean a loose guess. It is based on real evidence. The men listed believe in things with blind faith. They are the ignorant ones. They claim to know the answers to the universe based on a book, written over a period of hundreds of years by so many different people, translated and edited hundreds of times. Why should we trust the worlds oldest game of telephone?

Many atheists dont claim creation is stupid. most believe it is simply illogical. But be aware that atheism has nothing, repeat NOTHING to do with science. Also, to your first point, all it takes is a little logic to know how absurd creation is. Those who really understand evolution are those who firmly understand the logic and rightness of it.

Maybe you should read the bible cover to cover, perhaps twice. You will realize how disgusting and crazy it really is. It's not the things the church teaches that is terrible. It's the things they leave out which is the most disturbing.

The Pope, Catholic Church, Church of England and mainstream churches all accept the big bang and evolution!

Lord Carey the former Archbishop of Canterbury put it rather well – “Creationism is the fruit of a fundamentalist approach to scripture, ignoring scholarship and critical learning, and confusing different understandings of truth”!

Nice that christians and atheists can agree and laugh together even if it is at fundie expense!

But behind the laughter is the despair at the fundamentalists striving so hard to destroy christianity by turning it from a religion to an ideology!

Surveys suggest that 29% of American christians are so extremist in their beliefs that they fall well outside of the accepted bounds of christianity!

Please state which extremist sect you belong to so that GOOD christians can disassociate themselves from you and explain why your sect is so at odds with Christianity!
