Time and labor in Nevada? Time between shifts?

Postby delrico » Fri Oct 28, 2011 1:20 pm

I'm scheduled to work 5-11:30pm tonight, and then be clocked in again tomorrow by 7am and work til 2. I heard there's a law that you need 12 hours in between shifts. Is this correct? What to I tell them?

Sorry but you heard wrong.......
there are no laws that mandate a certain amount of time between shifts in retail either federal or state (Nevada).

There is no Federal law, with the exception of a few occupations (truck driver, airline pilot - for safety reasons) that regulates time between shifts.
