Trademarking A Nonprofit

I want to trademark the name of my school cycling team to prevent others from using the name for other purposes. Are we still subject to the filing fee? It seems a little high priced and I was wondering if by being a non-profit student organization we are subject to different pricing.

Unfortunately your status as a non-profit does not entitle you to a waiver of the government filing fee currently $275 or $325 per class of goods depending upon which system(ETEAS or ETEAS PLUS) you use to file your trademark.

I wish I can give you good news about the same, but unfortunately the fee cannot be waived.
