U.S. Appeals Court slams Alabama Anti-Immigration law to back into the gutters?

Postby sampson » Mon Oct 31, 2011 2:18 pm

The 11th Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals in Atlanta has overruled part of a lower judge's decision and ordered Alabama to stop questioning grade-school students and parents about their citizenship status.

Further rejections of the law is certain if the supporters of the anti-immigration law appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court and the High Court agrees to hear the case.

Does this bother the Conservatives? Lol

Not surprised.

U.S. Appeals Court slams Alabama Anti-Immigration law to back into the gutters?

Nope because of this and this they can not stop it is the law....

But the court did let stand for now the part of the state law that requires local police officers to ask for proof of legal status during routine stops if they suspect someone might be an illegal immigrant. A similar provision, first passed by Arizona in 2010, has been temporarily blocked from going into effect by the 9th Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals. If the two appeals courts ultimately disagree over the constitutionality of this part of the law, the issue will likely end up in the U.S. Supreme Court.
Also this :)... A final decision on Alabama's immigration law, which is considered the toughest in the nation, won't be made for months.

Besides that it just puts Obama further down in the rut and 2012 is coming :)))) xo

Btw I'm an Independent thanks for the news, just keep pushing to the right :))) xo

What's really funny to me is that people actually think Alabama has an immigration law.

Wise up. This is not an immigration law. This is just about trying to identify people who have broken federal law.

And if we are not supposed to obey federal law, then please remind me of that on April 15.

"No one is illegal, no human being. There are some undocumented because it takes time to acquire papers."

Clearly, neither the appeals court nor yourself cares about the existing laws that govern our once-sovereign (pre-Obama) nation.

So, you contend that two wrongs equal a right. I see.

@Barney, I think your % is a little too high.

It sounds like the U.S. Appeals Court did a body slam on Alabama anti-immigration law. If the Supreme Court gets involved, they better interpret the US Constitution correctly or else things are gonna get out of hand in this country.

Surprise , surprise , a Judge ruling from the robes .. The Federal government REFUSES to enforce immigration laws and the US citizens , in their own home towns , are told by a judge " just deal with it " ??? The employers need to be prosecuted . If the employers won't turn off the magnet then we should turn off their electricity ..

Why do you want the country to be overrun with illegal immigrants? I don't get it.
