UK question. Neighbour demands to be allowed in our garden to creosote his fence what rights does he have?

your neighbour has the right to come over to upkeep his fence, but has to give you plenty of notice, not just when he wants,not sure about the creosote, you need to check with your local council.. and he has no right to touch your shrubs on your side of fence, as long as they are not touching his fence.
and he has no right to dictate what plants you grow.
I would like to be there, I would make his life a living hell..
On the down side, any dispute with a neighbour can affect selling your house, but that would also affect his as well., this has to be all up front with estate agents

Creosote is now banned due to toxicity issues. If he uses it (even on his side) you have a valid complaint with your local council environment department. And you do not have to let him onto your land - especially since last time he cut down one of your plants. As he is unreasonable its time for you to mirror his behaviour.

Telephone the local council they will tell you the rules for fencing. Where I am you can't attach anything to the fence or paint it if it doesn't belong to you.
