Unwanted Surgery

Postby Loryn » Tue Apr 29, 2014 11:38 pm

In-May I visited a clinic with an Essure process inserted.  the physician I selected had probably the most experience with this specific contraception method.  Following The process had started the physician began to have a problem placing the Essure.  I asked him what was wrong, he explained I'd uterine polyps also it wasn't feasible for him to complete the essure method.  He finished the process and advised me my choices were to truly have a D&D to get rid of the polyps after which use Depo for some weeks after which attempt again.  I visited another center and asked for another opinion.  I'd my documents delivered to center #2 and requested that physician if he desired to examine my uterine polyps as well.  he explained with my documents he found no reason to complete another check and that I planned the process with him.  After my surgery I had been informed I'd no polyps and my womb was fine.  The surgery required significantly less than 30 minutes.  I had been annoyed that I went under common ansthesia for no cause along with a process that I'd have just invested $25 on like a co-pay has become 00 With the charges for the needless surgery.  Do I've an incident whatsoever?  I approached persistence advocacy within the center #1 plus they explained it had been my choice to visit center #2 as well as in the finish, I find the new center and so I selected their billing.  I'm really annoyed I'd an unwanted sugery and also have to pay for an excessive statement for something which might have been completed within the office.  What're my other available choices?

A mistake is not necessarily malpractice.
Presumably you were made aware of the billing issues when you chose to go to the new clinic.

It appears you have no damages (injury) from the procedure, therefore it would be exteemely difficult to sue anyone.  Medical review of any malpractice case alone can cost thousands of dollars and for a $1,500 cost with no injury, it is highly unlikely you have a case.
You made a choice to get another opinion and should have checked if your insurer would cover the additional costs before you had the procedure done.
